A "wow" is an individual thing, maybe a note for a Opera lover, maybe a glimpse of a Mott Mott by a bird watcher, or maybe a unheard Demo by by Bob Marley, or of course sex.
Some wows wear off quickly, and some do not.
Some wows get played out or tolerance develops. (In Medicine, this is called Tachyphylaxis. or in other words, getting used to a medication .)
We all love the high of an Adrenalin rush .
Jack Low once said " collecting Bob is like crack", meaning, we need the wows.
